"Doctor" Nick was born in England. He is a highly qualified Golf Teaching Professional and has taught golf for over 40 years. Nick first learned to play golf at the age of 9 at the home of golf in St Andrews, Scotland. As a golfer, Nick has had 3 course records, 7 "aces" and twice has hit over 3,000 golf shots in one hour, to raise money for charity. He is also a qualified training consultant and karate black belt . Nick has taught golf extensively in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, in England, as well as on assignments in France, Wales, Portugal, Scotland and Nigeria.
He moved to Ireland in 2004 to become the Teaching Professional at Woodstock Golf and Country Club and soon became one of the busiest golf teachers in the area. Over the years Nick has conducted thousands of golf lessons, his clients have included tour professionals, golf professionals, celebrities, club golfers of all levels and juniors. In 2008, he was invited to teach at the Irish Open. Nick has had many of his articles on golf instruction published, and for several years he wrote a regular golf instructional series for the Clare People newspaper. His bestselling book "Better Golf Tips" is available at Amazon in paperback and on Kindle.
Nick retired from teaching in 2020 and now spends his time writing and playing golf.
